Since we had the thread going for the Dance Central fansite on the other board, I figured I would copy and paste some of the stuff we had there so we can continue the discussion over hereeee! XD

Stuff/sites we will have on the collective:
- main page (group blog?)
- ACCURATE CENTRAL WIKI LOL
- ili's routine masterlist!
- fanworks section/site (art, fiction, mixes, graphics, costumes, etc.)
- DC link directory (twitters, tumblrs, official sites, fansites, etc.)
- youtube spotlight
- staff info lol

Still not sure of a site name. I was thinking of moves and stuff maybe? OR TANDANCE INDUSTRIES LOL? We know we don't want to include the initials DC in the domain name and we can't use BREAK IT DOWN since it's taken pretty much every single way it could be taken. *SHAKES FIIIIIIST*

I think we should put a pin on the name matter and brainstorm on it later. If I recall correctly, other options involved flawless freestyle and now we have tandance industries as another possible name, but I'm not sure about the copyright!

So, what do we need now? Are we looking to have a heavy graphics or a small blog kind of site? My vote goes for the latter. Something simple, yet serious enough and easy to navigate through. What exactly are we looking for?

Yeah, that's the thing I was worried about with Tandance was the whole copyright thing. I do like Flawless Freestyle - do we think it's too long or do we think it might work?

I think a small blog kind of site would work the best for now as the main page of the site. IT WILL HAVE NICE GRAPHICS but it will be a small blog site to start out with - then we can grow from there! The blog can include site updates, game updates (DLC announcements, etc.), maybe some contests or something? But we can all post on there DC related stuffs. And from there will be links to the other pages of the site and all that kind of stuff.

And I will make note of all the references from real wiki! Also, that list is frickin' amazing so far. O_O! I JUST WANT TO SIT AND WATCH THEM ALL DAYYYYYY

AHAHAHA <3 I love how it's like, "Something about crews." I say we leave it like that.

On the subject of collective names, if we think something like Tandance.net or something would work, I can try to PM someone from HMX on the board and see if that would be a problem if we called it something like that? Just tell them we're making a fansite and we wanted to know if using a name like that would be okay. Flawless Freestyle is still an option too unless we think that's too long for a domain name! Once we have an idea for the name, I can get the group log going with the name and all the crap on it that will be on the collective.

ES, I saw on Twitter where you mentioned PMing someone from HMX so I went ahead and did that concerning the site name. I mentioned stuff like flawless-freestyle.net and tandance.net in the PM (I sent said PM to the community manager on the board) and she responded and said as long as we're making it clear we're a fansite and have no affiliation with Harmonix, she sees no problems!

WOOOO! So now that the name issue is opened up, do we want to go with one of those? XD

Woo! Alright. First, I'd like to know who has joined the staff so I can introduce myself properly. Secondly, a lot of new info has come out recently and we need to pay close attention to those little details that Matt and the hmx team reveal about the game/characters/crews so we can redact a coherent and complete wiki. We're off to a great start, guys. Let's do this!
